Project Goal Project Challenges Prototyping Summary
This was an additional project I took on during my interactive art class. During our final interactive art project, one person from each group was used as the group representative. I was selected as my group's rep and that means I became a member of the web gallery team as well.
Project Goal
The web gallery team was composed of 10 people all with different backgrounds and skills. I took the role of the team leader to keep the large group organized and on task. I took into account people's skills and preferences to delegate tasks to team members, roles ranged from editor to designer. On top of this, each member gathered a summary and some photos for the gallery.
Project Challenges
With such a large team of people, keeping everyone on task is difficult especially when they have another project to do as well. As the team leader, I summarized deliverables for the team after each meeting so everyone could refer back to see what we needed to be done at what times and what was expected of everyone.
It was not smooth sailing unfortunately, many of the team members did not take this role on the web gallery team seriously and therefore did not contribute to the web gallery. This led to me and two other individuals doing the majority of the web gallery.
Prototyping

Below are some grey box wireframes that helped us decide on a layout and the minimalistic style we wanted to have.
From those wireframes, we received feedback and implemented the changes we needed to make on the final version which is below.

Summary
Overall, the gallery looks how we wanted it to and has a very minimalistic design to let the artworks speak for themselves. Managing a large team was difficult, but I did learn a lot about the ethics and workstyle of different people.
