Logline: When a young guy finds a phone in a forest he becomes more and more paranoid on his journey to track down the owner.

The film ended up including 43 shots, I have become extremely happy with the progress made despite having to come up with a brand new idea in the middle of the project. I plan on creating my sequel for the previous project in my own time, but this film was still lots of fun to create. I used a technique M. Night Shyamalan likes to use called found footage which is when footage is presented in the film in a way that it seems one of the characters had filmed it. It's often used to flashback to certain events or as foreshadowing. In my film I used it as the climax of the story.

This film process definitely presented its own set of challenges, unlike anything I've ever experienced. It really pushed me to become very adaptable and creative. In the end I'm grateful for what I learned and the skills I developed during all this.

This project was created for a class of mine and the object was to create a 3-4 minute long short film of our choice, however we had to pay homage to a famous director. I chose M. Night Shyamalan as he his well know and he's directed some of my favourite thrillers. Since this was the same class I created my first video project in, I wanted to produce a sequel. I began to write and prepare to film it, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic I was unable to meet with 2/3 of my actors so I couldn't move forward with this plan. After a few weeks of planning this sequel my plans were derailed and I had to start from scratch, I kept with the thriller genre though.
